No space? No problem! Hey everyone! As some of you know, we have traversed provinces and are now living in beautiful Nova Scotia! We are currently living in a temporary location with minimal space and I've been dying to get my paint on. Some people travel a lot or have minimal space to work...

Bases and how to even Have you ever wondered how to even when it comes to bases? There are an infinite amount of ways to do a base, and some people either have a 'go-to' that they use for all their minis. Some like to switch it up. Keep the body guessing, you know? Before we get started, lets...

Gangfight 2017 + 40,000 Hey all! Been loving the vacation so far. The weather has been beautiful, the people have been amazing, and my dogs are getting more exercise! I got a sunburn at the beach, but that's mostly because I thought I could beat the sun at it's own game. I was wrong. In any...

    Painting & Terrain

    The art of the brush

I've been painting Warhammer for over 20 years and have painted more things than I care to admit. I love trying new techniques and each army I paint, I try to add a new skillset to my arsenal. There's always so much to learn and do and the models being produced these days are absolutely fantastic.

As any wargamer knows, playing on an awesome table really brings a fantastic cinematic feel to your game. This really enhances the immersion of your battle. My goal is to create some awesome terrain to play on that really draws you into the battle. I love the smell of napalm in the morning!

    Battle Reports

    So what happened?

I'll be crafting some battle reports as we get some more games under our belt. The intent is to create two different kinds of battle reports; one with what you're likely used to (what moved where, who shot what, etc), and the other completely narrative. One of our passions is writing and creating stories to go along with our battles seems like a great way to flex the literary brainium!

Want to know how to do a thing?

One other thing I love doing in my other job is teaching/instructing which ties in with one of my goals for this community being educating those with simple but effective ways to build/paint/convert models and terrain. There's more than one way to skin a cat, as they say, but there's also more than one way to achieve that perfect effect you've been looking for. If you have a request for something, let me know and I'll throw it in the queue!

    Who runs this crazy train?!

    The Overlord

Not much to say here other than I am the mastermind of this operation (or so I tell myself). We are leaving Ontario this year to develop this business and raise our son in the wonderful land of Nova Scotia. I have been playing and painting Warhammer since I was 10 years old. My dad brought me to the mall to get me an early birthday gift and when we walked into the Games Workshop, I fell in love immediately. From that moment on I was hooked and wouldn't have it any other way. I can't wait to share my passion for wargaming with all of you!

    The Actual Overlord

Amy is the real brains behind this. She's the motivation that drives me to share my work with everyone. Amy has been incredibly supportive of my hobby and even plays with me (and wins!). In addition to having a vast array of technological experience when it comes to design and application, she also has her own amazing business that helps hand-made sellers take amazing product photos. Did I mention she's a fantastic photographer as well? That's where all the good pictures on here come from!

    The Overlord's Overlord

This little guy right here is the reason for why we do what we do. I can't wait until he's old enough to delve into all the nerdy things that we love so much. Poor kid doesn't stand a chance! I mean, unless he wants to of course!
